Former Apprentice becomes a Teacher

October 11, 2005 (WANE TV) A former apprentice is now teaching lessons in Fort Wayne. A reality TV star is the guest speaker at the Boys and Girls Clubs 15th Annual Steak and Burger Dinner...

...Since finishing as the runner-up in the first season of the "Apprentice," Kwame Jackson has enjoyed business and entertainment success. Now he's using his celebrity to raise funds at the local Boys and Girls Clubs.

Since the "Apprentice" Jackson has been the featured speaker at over 100 events across the country. This was his fourth with the Boys and Girls Clubs.

"I'm here to help out and I'm here to share the message and show kids there are a lot of alternatives to the things they see on TV, I'm not an athlete, I'm not an entertainer, I went to school and took some chance's," said Jackson.

All proceeds from the 340 tickets sold goto the boys and girls clubs of Fort Wayne.
