NBC Flips Apprentice: Martha and E-Ring

October 1, 2005 (Media Week) As of Wednesday, Oct. 5, NBC's E-Ring will air at 8 p.m., and The Apprentice: Martha Stewart will air at 9 p.m...

...The network hopes flipping the shows will give both a better shot at success.  Martha dropped precipitously in its second outing at 8 p.m. this week, drawing 6 million viewers, and a 2.1/6 among adults 18-49.

Up against ABC's Emmy-winning Lost at 9 p.m., E-Ring drew 7.7 million viewers, and a 2.1/5 among adults 18-49. Even if Martha continues to falter in its new time slot, NBC execs want to give E-Ring a fighting chance at 8 p.m. as the only drama up against comedies on the other major networks.
