Daytime Fans to Get More Martha

December 12, 2005 (People) Though her nighttime The Apprentice; Martha Stewart proved a one-shot wonder, daytime is a good thing for the domestic diva. Her daily syndicated show Martha has been sold to more than 90 percent of the country for its upcoming second season, says the Hollywood Reporter...

...The successful show marks a comeback for Stewart who launched the program shortly after her release from prison and subsequent home confinement for having lied to federal investigators regarding a 2001 stock sale. Stewart's Apprentice will fade out for good with the season's two-hour finale on Dec. 21.

Elsewhere in daytime, The Tyra Banks Show has yet to be officially renewed but it is highly expected to, says Variety, while also ready for his close-up on his own new talk show: Greg Behrendt, co-author of the popular dating guide He's Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys.

Set to launch next fall, the program will dish up Behrendt’s own brand of common-sense, comedic advice, say trade reports.

Finally, Everybody Loves Raymond costars Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle are reprising a classic "Alka-Seltzer" commercial from 1972, in which a husband can't sleep and complains, "I can't believe I ate the whole thing," reports The New York Times.

The campaign kicks off the 75th anniversary of the fizzling stomach-relief product.
